On 27th February 2020, Carmel Convent High School, Nandakhal celebrated Marathi Day in the remembrance of the great poet Kusumagraj whose birthday is celebrated as Marathi Day. All the Marathi teacher’s with the help of the students conducted an assembly .The chief guest for the day was Dr. Jagdish Sansare. The assembly started by invoking the presence of God .The Chief Guest then garland the frame of the Poet Kusumagraj followed by lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest , Principal Sr. Joviana Fernandes A.C. , Manager Sr. Pritisha A.C. Sr. Theresa Jacob, Sir Francis D’mello and Sir Sunil Mhamunkar . Students of Std V & VI sang a song . followed by a dance on a Marathi song performed by the students of Std VII and at the end the chief guest spoke a few words as to why the language Marathi is important .
