Drawing and Colouring Competition – Senior KG
On 11th August, drawing and Colouring Competition was conducted for the Senior KG students on the topic “Rain Scenery.” The children enthusiastically participated, using their creativity to depict rainy-day scenes with umbrellas, clouds, raindrops, and greenery. They used bright colours and neat drawing skills, showcasing their imagination and artistic talent. The competition not only encouraged creativity but also improved their fine motor skills and colour sense. All the participants enjoyed the activity and proudly presented their beautiful art work.
Handwriting & Maths Handwriting Competition – Senior K.G.
A “Handwriting competition” was conducted on 21st August, 2025 for the students of Senior K.G. The focus of the competition was to encourage neatness, proper formation, and consistency in cursive writing of the English alphabets from Uu to Kk.
Students participated with great enthusiasm and showcased their handwriting skills with precision and creativity. The activity helped in enhancing their fine motor skills and reinforcing proper cursive writing habits, letter formation, neatness, spacing and alignment and overall presentation.
The winners from each section were appreciated for their excellent performance. Participation Certificates were given to all students to encourage continued practice and improvement. The competition successfully fulfilled its objective of promoting good handwriting practices among young learners in an engaging manner.
To encourage numerical skills and early mathematical learning, a Maths Competition was conducted on 22nd August, 2025 for SR. KG students. The competition focused on recognizing, writing, and sequencing numbers from 1 to 50. Students participated with enthusiasm, showcasing their number sense, speed, and accuracy. The activity not only reinforced their classroom learning but also built confidence and healthy competition among peers.
Rhyme Competition – Senior K.G.
The Rhyme Competition was conducted for the SR. KG students on 22nd August, 2025. The topics for the competition were Rainy Season and Family. The children came forward with great enthusiasm and confidently recited their rhymes with proper actions and expressions.
The competition was judged by Joycie Fernandes and Sister Manuelina who appreciated the efforts of all the participants. The event helped the children to improve their vocabulary, memory, and self-confidence while also enjoying the joy of rhyme and rhythm.
Elocution Competition – Senior K.G.
An Elocution Competition was held on 25th August, 2025 for the Senior KG students. The children spoke confidently on various topics such as “Save Water” and “Save Trees”, spreading the message of caring for our nature.
The competition was judged by Nivlen Santos and Sister Manuelina. The winners were felicitated with Certificates in appreciation of their efforts.
Green Day Celebration – Senior K.G.
Green Day was celebrated on 25th August, 2025. To celebrate Green Day, students participated in a fun and creative art activity. Each student decorated an earthen pot, first painting it with a base of blue, symbolizing water and the Earth, followed by adding green sleeping (horizontal lines) to represent greenery and growth.
The classroom blackboard was beautifully decorated in green, creating an engaging and vibrant environment. Group-wise photographs were taken both inside and outside the classroom to capture these joyful moments. The activity helped children understand the importance of green colour in nature and encouraged their artistic expression.
Handwriting Competition Report – Junior KG (Letters A to L)
On 11th August, 2025 JR. K.G. children had Handwriting Competition. They practiced writing the letters from A to L with great enthusiasm and care. The activity helped them to improve their pencil grip, letter formation, and concentration. Many children showed neat and beautiful writing. The competition encouraged them to practice more and enjoy learning letters. All the little learners did a wonderful job, and we are proud of their efforts.
Ear Bud Painting – Flag Activity Junior KG
On 14th August, Jr. KG children participated in an Ear Bud Painting Activity to celebrate Independence Day. The little ones painted the National Flag using ear buds, enjoying the activity with joy and creativity. This activity helped them to learn about the Tricolour while expressing their love for the nation.
Maths Handwriting Competition – Junior K.G.
On 22nd August, 2025 JR. KG students participated in a Maths Competition on writing numbers 1–10. Three best books were selected (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) by Sister In-charge. Children were awarded Certificates to encourage and appreciate their efforts.
Colouring Competition – Junior K.G.
On 22nd August, 2025 a Colouring Competition on the topic “Flower” was held for JR. KG. The children showed great enthusiasm and creativity in their work. Their efforts were appreciated, and three children were selected for certificates by Sister in-charge Sr. Manuelina.
Green Day Celebration – Junior K.G.
On 25th August,2025 our JR. KG students celebrated Green Day with great joy. To mark the day, a leaf printing activity was organized where children dipped leaves in green colour and printed them on paper. They enjoyed exploring the different shapes of leaves and created beautiful patterns. The activity helped them to understand the importance of greenery in our environment while having fun with colours.
15th August, 2025 Independence Day
The Independence Day was celebrated on 14th August, 2025 in Mother Veronica Hall. The programme began with a prayer dance dedicated to Mother Mary, on the occasion of the Feast of the Assumption.
The Junior and Senior KG students dressed up as great leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Savitribai Phule, adding charm and patriotic spirit to the program. Each of the four classes sang a different Patriotic Song, filling the atmosphere with enthusiasm.
A speech on Independence Day was delivered by Miss Ava Rodrigues, Senior KG.B inspiring everyone to value the freedom we enjoy. This was followed by an energetic dance performance by the Junior and Senior KG children.
The program continued with words of encouragement from our Sister-in-charge, Sister Manuelina, who spoke briefly about the importance of independence day and unity.
The celebration concluded with a closing prayer. Sweets were distributed to the children, making the day even more joyful. It was truly a memorable and Patriotic occasion.
