Dear Parents,
We have successfully accomplished all our activities for the months of June, July and August. The workshop conducted for the students and parents of Std IX and X by Fr. Raymond Rumao , was a great success. The Orientation for parents of Std I to VII by Fr. Patrick D’souza was much appreciated by most of the parents. Let us accompany our children on their journey.
Days and Dates to be remembered
3rd Sept 2016 – Saturday Teachers’ Day celebration –by the students of Stds. V to X
Timings 7.15 am to 9.30 am. (Attendance is compulsory).
5th & 6th Sept 2016 Monday/Tuesday Ganesh Holidays.
7th Sept 2016 Wednesday Compensatory leave for working on Saturday.
8th Sept. 2016 Thursday Mother Mary’s Feast.
9th Sept 2016 Friday Management Holiday.
The school office will remain open on 9th and 10th Sept.2016 from 7.30 am to 12 noon.
The school will reopen on 12th Sept. 2016 for stds. I to X.
Congratulations to Valerie Lobo for her outstanding performance in Roller Skating Competition organized by School Games Federation of India . At District level Valerie Lobo won 2 gold medals and was qualified for Division Level. At Division Level – She won 3 gold and one silver. She was qualified for the State Level Competition held on 5th Jan’16 at Pune and won a Gold Medal and 2 Silver medal. She was also awarded Rs. 30,000/- cash from Vasai, Virar Municipal Corporation in April 2015 as a token of appreciation.
Deworming
We have observed that most of our students suffer from stomach pain. One of the reasons could be worm problem. During our last P.T.A meeting, we felt that we should share our knowledge on this issue. Deworming once in six months is necessary. Regular deworming is the best solution for many of the childhood illness.
It is ideal that all the family members are treated for deworming once in six months to avoid spreading of infection. Deworming will ensure good health to our students.
Std I to VIII P.T Uniform.
We also discussed about P.T uniform. In place of white P.T. uniform, we will have track suits, house colour T-shirt and black colour track pant. Those who are stitching new P.T.uniform will use track suits from this year. Those who have white P.T. uniform in good condition need not stitch new P.T. uniform.
Std I to IX will use black canvas shoes after the rainy season. Pattern of Shoes will be sent later. There will not be separate P.T. shoes.
- I have received complaints from a few parents that they got phone calls at home from unknown persons for their children’s counselling .Please do not entertain such phone calls or go ahead with any counselling. The school has not recommended anybody for this job. Please be careful.
- Kindly check that your children carry the books to school according to the Time Table. Don’t send any extra unnecessary things with them.
Our great Indian Saint Mother Teresa will be canonized on 4th Sept. 2016 Sunday in Rome. On this great occasion, we can imitate Mother Teresa in her work of mercy. It will be a good gesture to invite a poor family for a meal or visit an orphanage, home for aged, home for destitute, H.I.V children’s home or help any poor family during this festival season.You will be blessed with a hundred fold.
