On 27th February 2019, Carmel Convent High School, Nandakhal had celebrated Marathi Day in the remembrance of the great poet Kusumagraj whose birthday is celebrated as Marathi Day. Our school had conducted an assembly in which the chief guest was Mr. Anthony Pereira. The assembly started by invoking the presence of God and afterwards our chief Guest garland the frame of the Poet Kusumagraj . Students of std VI sang a song which was very meaningful followed by a dance on a Marathi song performed by the students of Std VIII and at the end the chief guest spoke a few words as to why the language Marathi is important and he sang some poems by famous authors . All the the students were very excited and repeated the poems after the chief guest.
