4th March is very significant day for the state of Maharashtra, the day on which we appreciate the Marathi language. Marathi is in the heart and mind of every citizen of our state and it is very much part of our culture.
To mark this day, Carmel School had a short prayer service to help our students to appreciate and love our mother tongue-Marathi. We also had a short skit depicting the importance of this language. We were happy to have Mrs. Mary Machado as our chief guest for the day. Through her speech she gave the importance of the language Marathi and inspired the students to appreciate their mother tongue language for it is the part of our very being.
