Born to Love and Care
We at Carmel believe in the spirit of sharing and caring and especially with our less fortunate brothers and sisters. Likewise every year we made our journey during this Christmas and spent our time with the inmates of Keltan Ashram, Shahpur. We could call it a heaven of solace and comfort for the old and the aged. The Sisters who are taking care of them are like angels of mercy to these old and destitute inmates. The care shown to them by the sisters is very inspiring and I felt I am born to love and care. This virtue is very much inculcated into us in the school, to share with the needy and the less fortunate in our little ways and God will bless us hundredfold. We spoke to each and every one of them. Some of them shared their life story which brought tears to our eyes and opened our hearts to be always grateful to our parents and to take care of them till the end. We also put up some entertaining programme and shared with them our Christmas joy.
We also visited an orphanage where we saw many children who are well taken care of by the sisters. I felt, I am so blessed to have beautiful parents who love and care for me and I also thank God for them. I thank our Principal for giving us this opportunity to visit and understand the importance of parents in our lives and also to be charitable towards the needy world. This visit has definitely enriched our lives and made us more sensitive towards the needs of others.
