On this auspicious day, 18th February 2026, Carmel Convent High School, Nandakhal . celebrated the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj along with Marathi Day with great enthusiasm and joy.The Chief Guest for the programme was Mrs. Conception Vincent Rodrigues (Parsav), Nandakhal.The programme was also graced by the presence of the Principal, Sister Joviana , Manager Sister Manulina , Sir. Francis D’Mello and Coordinator Teacher Prema.
The celebration began with a Granth Dindi accompanied by the rhythmic beats of Lezim. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The programme continued with prayer, petitions, and Bible reading.A speech on the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was delivered, highlighting his bravery and leadership. Another speech explained the importance of Marathi Day. A special dance performance beautifully depicted the significance of celebrating both occasions together.The group song “Chhatrapati Daivat Maze” filled the entire atmosphere with devotion and pride.After the inspiring speech of the Chief Guest, the programme concluded with the recitation of Pasayadan.The programme was coordinated and led by the teachers:Mrs. Pranali Churi,Mrs. Vibha Patil and Mr. Sunil Mhamunkar.
