Ambivali Village, Vikramgad, February 9 : A two – day educational camp was organized on  9th & 10th February for the students of std VIII. All the students  assembled on the school ground of Carmel Convent High School early in the morning around 6.00 am & proceeded to Ambivali by bus at 6.30 am.

The Camp commenced with the flag hoisting and day – 1 assembly followed by adventure activities such as rope climbing rifle shooting, zip-lining, archery which were exciting and enjoyable. Later, the students went on an informative visit to some farms where they learnt about farming. After returning, they participated in group games like tug of war, which encouraged teamwork and enthusiasm.

In the evening, the students gathered for the campfire. The atmosphere was lively with music and laughter as students showcased their talents. They were then briefed about the next day’s schedule and retired for the night. The next morning, the students woke up early and took part in various physical activites such as warm – up excercises, trekking & rock climbing. On the way back they visited a site and learned about the brick- making process. After breakfast, the students  continued the day’s programme. Where they visited a Z.P school and gave the charity they had collected during Christmas. Later the students spent some time in the swimmimg pool which was followed by the closing ceremony.

Thus, the camp proved to be a memorable & enriching experience. It not only provided the students with recreation & adventure but also helped them learn new skills, develop confidence and gain a deeper appreciation for nature.
